Here are some of the questions we get asked most regularly about our fundraising shoots. If your question isn't answered here, please contact us.

Q – How can I find a local shoot to attend?

A – Simply go to www.jacknjill.co.nz/shoots to see upcoming shoots in your area

Q – Do you just take family portraits at the shoot?

A – No, we take a range of portraits including family, siblings and individual images.

Q – How do I book in to attend a fundraising shoot?

A – To book an appointment at a fundraising shoot, you can follow the link found on the marketing materials or go to www.jacknjill.co.nz/shoots and click on the shoot you wish to attend. Once on the booking page, choose your appointment time and pay your $10. If you're struggling to book, please call us on 0800 522 565

Q – I’m attending a fundraiser, how much do photos cost?

A – You will receive one digital image as part of your shoot as long as you attend the viewing day. Additional digital images start at $49 and prints start at $9. Your photographer will give you a price list at your shoot and recommend the best package for you.

Q – Why do I have to pay a $10 booking fee to have photos taken?

A – Our $10 portrait shoots are fundraising events. We work with schools, childcare centres, playcentres, teams, community groups and other organisations to allow them to raise vital funds. The $10 booking fee is retained by them for their fundraising efforts.

Q – Can I get a refund on my $10 booking fee as I didn’t attend the photoshoot?

A – The $10 booking fee is non-refundable.

Q – How do I receive my free digital image?

A – To choose your free digital image, you must attend the pre-arranged viewing day. Your free digital image (and any other images you purchase) will be sent to you via Dropbox link.

Q – Can I choose which digital images I get free?

A – Of course you can. At your viewing day, the photographer will allow you to select your favourite image.

Q – I’m unable to attend the viewing day, how can I view my photos?

A – If you are unable to attend the viewing day, please let your photographer know. A proof sheet can be created and sent to you via email. 

Q – Can I send someone else to the viewing day?

A – Only you can attend the viewing day. If you are unable to attend, for whatever reason, you are not eligible for the free digital image. However you are still able to order images from your shoot - just contact us.

Q – I don’t have any children, can I attend a fundraiser and am I entitled to a free digital image?

A – You’re welcome to attend any of our fundraising shoots without children. However you are not eligible for free digital imag.. Photos and digital images are available for purchase.

Q – What does a standard print pack include?

A – Each photo pack contains three wallet sized photos, one 10x13” photo, one 8x10” photo, one 5x7” photo, three 6x4” photos and one 3x5” photo. To order a print pack, you must first have ordered the digital image.

Q – How will I receive my order?

A - Digital images will be emailed to you on the viewing day. If you paid for a USB, your digital images will be given to you on a USB. Printed photos will be sent back to the organisation. The coordinator will let you know when they are ready for collection – typically 2-3 weeks after your viewing day.

Q – What is a digital image?

A -  A digital image is an electronically captured image that can be reproduced as many times as you like onto any platform i.e. prints, products, facebook and email. You can print, share and use as you wish.

Q – How do I receive my digital images?

A – A link to your digital images will be emailed to you. If you paid for a USB upgrade, your digital images will be supplied on a USB.

Q – I don’t have a dropbox account, how do I access my digital images?

A – No account is necessary to download your photos. Just follow the link you receive in your email to download your photos.

Q – I haven’t received my digital images, what should I do?

A –  If you still haven’t received your images the day following your viewing, please call the office on 0800 522 565.

Q – The link I received for digital images has expired. What should I do?

A – We store images for up to 3 months. If you require a new link, please email jill@jacknjill.co.nz We will resend your digital files to you. Please download them and save them immediately or the link may expire again. Please note that we cannot guarantee that your images will be in our archives after 3 months.

Q – How many images are there in a digital file?

A – A digital file means a digital image. When you order 1 digital file, you will receive one electronic image of your choice, You can print, share and use this as you wish as you own the copyright. If you order 3 digital files, you will receive 3 electronic images. If you order 5 digital files, you will receive 5 electronic images. If you order the complete shoot digital files, you will receive every editted image taken at your shoot.

Q – How many images will I receive when I order the complete shoot digital files?

A – The complete shoot will give you every image taken at your shoot. The number of images will vary depending on your sitting but typically collection sizes range from 10 to 40 images depanding on the poses that were taken.

Q – I’ve attended a shoot previously and received a printed photo – why don’t you do this anymore?

A – We now offer one digital image instead of a print after consulting our customers. A digital image is an electronically captured image that can be reproduced as many times as you like onto any platform i.e. prints, products, facebook and email. You can print, share and use as you wish.
